I don't know if this is the right place to make this thread, but it's been 120 days since they recieved my package.

I called yesterday, and the lady was real nice. She said my package was perfect no mistakes.

That my fingerprints have been processed and are sitting on a desk to be reviewed, and then it should be on the way. As long as my prints are clean.

which they are. So this news made me happy. I may actually get a permit:dancingbanana

I won't believe it until I see it though.

Steve.

P.S. I pray I never have to use my gun on a person:ak

If you have any previous charges on your criminal background check they have to get information concerning your charges to make sure that you are eligable to receive your license. But if your record is clean ask for a supervisor, they will push your application through the que. Hopefully u wont have to much longer.I had crimnal stuff on my record from 15 years ago but they still researched it....Hang in there and ask for a super

How long did it take for them to research your charges?

I had charges from 30 years ago and had to go to police station and get a copy of the arrest report. she did give me a fax # to send it in. I recieved my CCP about 1 week later. Start to finish - 5.5 months!
Mine was about 5 years ago, but it was in Ohio and I am in Florida now?
And it was minor...I dont think I was even charged?

120 days and perfect?

I really think the processing time may be determined by who's desk your stack of stuff arrives on. Why would a perfectly good app take 120 days and then get processed?

I work in a business that processes lots of paper / elctronic forms. I know how our operations department works, sometimes things run smoothly, sometimes things get FUBAR'ed, other times, they just collect dust because the person responsible is swamped with other tasks.

I'm hoping for a miracle on 7/4/09. If it doesn't arrive by "natural birth" I'll try to induce labor by calling.
