How long before my experation date can I renew my Fl. Carry Permit.

The statute says renewal notices must be mailed to licensees "at least 90 days" before expiration. I don't think the law limits how early you can renew, but I would guess DACS wouldn't let you renew earlier than 90 days prior to expiration. You could call your regional office and ask them. If you get an answer different than "90 days" let us know.

With the recent hack of Florida Dept of Agriculture License process (that seems to have gained access through the on-line renewal portal), I'm not sure I'd renew on line for awhile.

We just got our renewal notices and I'm planning to go in person to renew.

I get the feeling the OP isn't concerned with how long the renewal will take once initiated, but instead, how far in advance can they renew. Likely he wants to renew before DACS even sends the renewal packet - for whatever reason. Perhaps going out of country for awhile and won't be back before it expires - who knows.
