The statute says renewal notices must be mailed to licensees "at least 90 days" before expiration. I don't think the law limits how early you can renew, but I would guess DACS wouldn't let you renew earlier than 90 days prior to expiration. You could call your regional office and ask them. If you get an answer different than "90 days" let us know.
With the recent hack of Florida Dept of Agriculture License process (that seems to have gained access through the on-line renewal portal), I'm not sure I'd renew on line for awhile.
We just got our renewal notices and I'm planning to go in person to renew.
I was in no hurry, mine expired in July. They sent me the renewal notice in the beginning of April. I was really surprised how fast I got it back since it was by SNAIL MAIL. 7 days from the day I mailed it, that included the weekend.
I get the feeling the OP isn't concerned with how long the renewal will take once initiated, but instead, how far in advance can they renew. Likely he wants to renew before DACS even sends the renewal packet - for whatever reason. Perhaps going out of country for awhile and won't be back before it expires - who knows.
Thanks, sounds good. I'll be in Pompano Beach. That's not too far from Palm Beach Office, I don't think. I'll check on it next winter. My Brother lives in Boca so I'm up there once in a while. That's a 15 mile drive.
