    all it takes to make a 1911 full auto is bending one leg on the mainspring . Not a good idea

    Had a guy up in the DPRofMD a few years ago have a malfunction in his 1911 that caused it to go full-auto. He shot himself in the head, failing to control the muzzle rise when he pressed the trigger.
