Will any of these addresses help me with the change of address I put in for six
months ago? My check was cashed four months ago and I have nothing in hand.
Wait, let me change that...I sent the check on 12/25/08...it was cashed on 2/5/09......I have nothing...
I actually forgot abot this till I saw this thread. We moved twice this year for jobs so alot of stuff got swept under the rug.
Help, anyone?

Just got off the phone with the Tampa office. She said you can do renewals there and you do not need an appointment for a renewal, only need an appointment for 1st time applicants. Hope this helps :thumsup

Yeah just did mine today at the jax office real easy no snags there was not a soul there and i went in 20 minutes ahead of my appt time. Was out of there before my appt time so easy. And like glock said they claim a max of two weeks before it will be at the door

Hey Buckwheat, I was there the same day at 9 am, not another soul there then either. And as Hrolfr said, it's quick and easy - maybe not as quick as finding parking, but it was no 30 mins either - it was half that.

I was told 2-3 weeks tops. Another good thing is the printing with LiveScan - the computer kicks out bad prints on the spot and they redo them right there... none of the waiting to hear they're not good enough and having to get them redone and resubmitted. They had to redo one of my finger scans - that could have caused quite a hassle otherwise.

I did not have an appt. entered office at 8:30, Young lady at front desk asked if I had an Appt. Replied no, asked to make an appt. for same day, she asked the staff if they could see me, out by 9:00. this was in Tampa though.

When did they do that? I took my son to the Jax office on the 30th, and they were in suite 106. It took him 15 minutes and we were late for the appointment by 10 minutes.
they told him he would have it within 2 weeks.
I'm so proud of my boy!!!!!!!
NOW if i can just convince him that he is not a Democrat!!!!!!!!
He thinks just cause he don't care if they gays get married that means he is a democrap... I told him he was wrong.

Tampa office

I just got back from the Tampa office a few hours ago. Easy process, nice people. I was a little early for the appointment but they took me straight away. They took my DL, proof of CCW class and of course my check for $117
I was then escorted into a room with about 10 computers and filed my application online. Went back into the front room and waited for a couple of minutes until there was room at the fingerprint screen. They took my prints (4 of my prints were rejected and had to be rolled again. They tried several times and then just pushed it on through...I hope this doesn't come back as bad prints or something....) After printing, I was led over to a camera, signed the paperwork, recd my DL back, and got my pic taken. Total time taken, 25 minutes. I was told I should get my permit in 5-6 weeks. So now, I guess I'm on countdown.

Curious, does anyone have any experience with the Orlando office? I've got my appt for Dec 8th (called like 2 weeks ago) and I'm hoping to have it before I go for a trip Jan 8th, 2010.

made an appointment a couple weeks ago at the Punta gorda office..for this Wednesday:D

SO, I need my drivers license, $117 EXACTLY? in a moneyorder? and a COPY of my pistol class paperwork...
Am I able to use my debit card?

That's about it right?

The guy on the phone estimated I'd have my CWL license in under two weeks at best, but under a month for the worst
