In this video we test out the AAC Pilot 2 on a Ruger 10/22 and 22/45 Lite. The Pilot 2 is a compact, durable, and light weight .22LR muzzle silencer for pistols & rifles. Since 2003, the original Pilot has been one of the best selling silencers available based on outstanding sound reduction, AAC quality, and attention to detail. The Pilot 2 allows easy takedown for cleaning and maintenance that can extend the silencer’s service life when shooting dirty .22LR ammunition.

I'm not an expert, but should we not line up the muzzle (the place were the hot gasses escape) with the microphone the same in both test. They line up the muzzle of the barrel up with the mic when testing without the can but they don't line up the end of the can with the mic when testing with the can.

Mil-spec testing says that the meter is at the muzzle of the gun. When you add a silencer the location of the muzzle doesn't change. Companies have debated this since it isn't spelled out in the testing. In the end it doesn't matter as long as all silencers are tested the same. That is why we do the videos so you can see the same host guns and ammo being used to test different silencers.
