So my wife wants a quiet weapon

I'm thinking a bolt action .22 with a suppressor. The problems I've seen is that most .22's are not threaded and have the front sight very close to the barrel end, maybe too close to allow threading.

Anybody know of a .22lr rifle either capable of being threaded or already threaded? Or do I not need a threaded barrel?

Thanks

Honestly I can't imagine that she would need a suppressor with a .22.

Has she ever shot a .22 and said it's too loud?

My NAA Mini ROARS, My P22, has a decent bang, my 10-22 is hardly louder than a cap gun!

have you considered a samurai sword?....

A suppressed bolt-action .22 with CCI subsonic ammo is the perfect choice for feral cat removal, or rats, possum, etc.

Could easily be mistaken for a falling acorn. No need to disturb the neighbors!

All women already posses this weapon. It's called either:
1) The silent treatment, or
2) "You stay on your side of the bed, I'll stay on mine."

One of the most effective weapons world wide, regardless of culture or language, and has been since the beginning of time.

Beers y'all,
