I'm thinking a bolt action .22 with a suppressor. The problems I've seen is that most .22's are not threaded and have the front sight very close to the barrel end, maybe too close to allow threading.
Anybody know of a .22lr rifle either capable of being threaded or already threaded? Or do I not need a threaded barrel?
I agree, on more than one occasion I shot my 10-22 and never realized that I was not wearing hearing protection. You can almost hear the vibration from the springs over the sound of the round being fired.
Also there are several companies that will thread your barrel for a nominal fee. My big question is have you decided which Silencer/Suppressor you want to go with?
I haven't even started looking into the specific types of silencers yet. I figured I would buy the weapon for Christmas and start in on the paperwork getting her the silencer for her birthday next year.
Gemtech offers barrel threading for $130. The CZ 452 comes without iron sights and would be a perfect candidate for what you want to do.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
