Lightbulb Maryland police reportedly kill man in his sleep while enforcing gun control law

    https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/...lling-69587748

SILVER SPRING, Md. -- A Maryland man who was shot and killed by a police officer was asleep in his bedroom when police opened fire from outside his house, an attorney for the 21-year-old man’s family said Friday. The man's girlfriend was also wounded.
It's funny that they are being vague about what his priors, if any, were.

There's a GoFundMe active to help his family and his unborn child.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but I don't see any reason for the police doing what they did in this case, even if Duncan "confronted" them.

MD is just another place I never intend to go anywhere near again. That being said I would like some more details on this shooting, I have my own opinions but will keep them to myself for now as at this point they are just opinions.

It's not looking good for the "police" in Maryland. I'm suspect to begin with since they have proven their incompetence and willingness to enforce gun control in the past.
Plus if it went down how they said it would, we'd see some sort of concrete evidence by now.

It's currently "being investigated" which means some welfare case screwed the pooch.

How is it in one sentence they state nobody in the house had a criminal record and then a couple sentences down say he was prohibited from owning guns? If no record what prohibited him?
The police say he confronted them and they had to shoot him.
Eye witnesses say he was shot while sleeping.
So the question is where was his body found, in bed or on the floor close to a window or similar?
Doesn’t look good for the cops so far.

He became a prohibited possessor the minute the judge signed off on the warrant from the snitch line report.

    Convenient how that works, huh?

Tell me again why they don't wait for the suspect to be out and about and probably unarmed. Why are they entering a home with a gun stash?

And I don't think there was any mention in the article about finding any guns??

Here is an interesting article on this, I especially loved this part: "County police spokeswoman Mary Davison refused to disclose either the details of Lemp’s alleged offense or the affidavit used to justify the raid. Instead, she notified me that my press inquiries were being handled under the Maryland Public Information Act which entitles government agencies to delay responding for weeks or months"

Still wanna hear the forensic evidence on this. If he was truly shot while sleeping than his body and blood would have been found in his bed no? If not you’d think they’d share that to dispel the ‘shot while sleeping’ rumors?

I understand there's procedures to be followed but I've seen plenty of departments fast-track forensic and video evidence if it helps clear their name. They are being (characteristically for a police department in occupied territory) evasive and it flat-out doesn't look good for them.

Scope out their social media, it's a glorious mess.

Well as I said it should be pretty easy for the cops to clear themselves to show a blurry pic of a body near a window or whatever?
If he was shot ‘in his sleep’ than for me that means killed in bed? How did he threaten them if that’s the case? The more time they take the stronger the rumors will become.
