    They don't care apparently. Lots of cops anyway go into the building I work in. Had to get a sheriff ID.

    Bottom line is, while it's not illegal, you can be fired or let go in Florida for "no cause". Keep it to yourself, if you do parking lot carry. NOBODY needs to know. Then you'll be good to go...

    My post office is in the middle of a large shopping center, & does not have a designated post office parking area. So having protection in the trunk is not illegal in that case. GARY.

    Barbie is correct, it is only a no go if it is a standalone post office (Federal property) parking lot. I've never seen a shopping center post office have designated parking but even if they did it would make no difference.
