    Another Glock Fires Itself

Story on FoxNews site this morning about a 4-yr-old kid who was killed as a result of a Glock falling out of his father's pants while they were wrestling and it fired all by itself, striking both of them in the head.

Bull****. Glocks don't fire when dropped.

Hmmm I had hoped that "doh" smiley had done the job indicating that I don't buy the "magic Glock" theory either, but just in case it didn't, for the record I think the dad probably felt his gun dropping out, reached out and grabbed it while putting his finger square on the trigger and it did exactly what it was supposed to. I don't believe in spontaneous Glock combustion.

It will be interesting to hear the real story, if we ever do. The father and son were wrestling and someone pulled the trigger on the Glock, which had been in the father's waist band. The bullet hit both father and son in the head.

Pretty awkward. I wonder if a third person was involved.

I'd say the odds are about a million to one against us ever hearing the real story. The real story is that someone pulled the trigger and killed a 4-year-old kid. They don't want to admit that, nor probably even face up to it themselves, so the story they will tell, forevermore, is that the gun "just went off."

Yep. When I explain to non-gun-people that it's simply not possible for a gun to "go off," I can tell they are conflicted. They're conflicted because they know I'm not a bull$hitter and that I know my firearms stuff... BUT, they've been brainwashed by the media, entertainment industry, activists, and politicians that guns are "dangerous and can go off."

In the end, I'm quite certain they don't believe me. They're polite about it, but they remain unconvinced (that what I'm saying is absolutely true and what the media is saying is absolutely false).

Only two more heads and it can qualify as a mass-shooting.
