    Kudos to Orlando Gun Club

A couple of days ago I cleaned my Glock 19 and ran a functional check. It didn't pass. A quick diagnosis revealed that the trigger spring had broken.

I prepared for an internet search, expecting to find the spring for about $0.50 plus $15.00 shipping and handling. Before doing that, I decided to give Orlando Gun Club a call to see if they had any. The guy I talked to said that he did. I could come in and he would give me one at no cost! When I got there, he handed me two, saying "Just in case."

Is that the way to make friends? You bet it is. I now have my own little pistol range on my land, and that's all I need, so I no longer maintain my membership at OGG, but I heartily recommend them for anyone who needs a place to shoot.

When my G19 trigger spring broke during a session at Shoot Straight in WPB, they charged me a whopping $2.12 to replace it for me while I waited.

Good on the folks at OGC!

How many rounds through it? Generation?

Wow. Mine's a Gen 2, too. But, mine happened with far fewer rounds through it... around 8k.

    Correction- mine's a gen 3. Senior moment.

Awhile back, I had a broken locking block. I wouldn't have known it, but when I detail stripped the receiver the block just fell into two pieces in my hand. I put the pieces back together and reassembled everything without any problem. Of course, I replaced the block as soon as a new one arrived.

I checked Midway USA and the Glock Store. The spring including shipping and handling would have been $6.98 at Midway and $10.00 at GS.

Its good to hear stories like that. About a year ago my front site post on my G23 came off (have had the gun for twenty years) and one of the guys at Shooting Sports in Tampa not only had one for me, he put it on while I was shooting. All he wanted was a measly ten bucks. Another RSO there and I were talking and I was mentioning replacing my guide rod, said he had a steel one for me that no longer needed, brought it in for me, again, only wanted $10. The first fella left but the other gentleman is still there. I like talking with him a lot, really good dude. Its nice when people take care of each other that way.

Nice of them to do. Replace the spring with a NY trigger leaf spring and it’ll never break.
    Crisper let off too.

I use the Range at Orlando Gun Club, it's close to home and it's the best range I've found in Orlando and I've been to them all. The only range I like better is the one in Titusville at the American Police Hall of Fame.
