The region’s top federal prosecutor blames*most of Tallahassee’s gun violence on local pot dealers resolving their differences with deadly firearms.
“Where there is a pattern or where there is some order to this, the vast majority of gun violence relates to what we see – small time, street corner marijuana dealers resolving their conflicts or disputes and robbing one another and using firearms to do it,” Larry Keefe, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District in Florida, said during a news conference Thursday. “It’s not cocaine. It’s not methamphetamines. It’s not fentanyl. It’s not heroin.”
