Sheriff's Dept - What is required?

Some of you may remember the issues we were having with an unstable neighbor. Well, he's back. I have a friend who works for the Sheriff's department and he said I can request a full report of each case so it's documented. We requested each case get a documented report and later found out the only thing in the reports was the initial dispatch notes: "caller reports drunken neighbor" and no other details. What is the policy? How can you get something documented if they don't want to do it?

Get the officers that responded notes/reports. Your buddy should have been able to steer you in the right direction.
