NEVER do they put your baggage with firearms on the carousel. NEVER.
Negative, Ghostrider. I've traveled many, many times with my firearm, and only ONCE did I have to claim it at the baggage claim office. That was at Fort Lauderdale Airport (where they had a shooting). ALL the other times.... on the carousel... at many airports.

So, yeah... not "never." Almost always in my experience. Always on the carousel, except ONCE at FLL. And, my experience is recent.

Knew you would chime in, brother! Besides you, I've heard of others finding their luggage containing a firearm(s) riding the carousel. So much for ALWAYS or NEVER! Also, a thief, whether they be a baggage handler or someone scoping out the carousels would never figure out a zip-tie on a piece of luggage means it likely contains a firearm! Nope, not a fan of that external identification of bags containing firearms!
