SIG continues to roll out new iterations. I'm satisfied with my original P365, but I bet many will find the XL attractive, especially because it is optics ready. For me, the logical option for going larger in the SIG lineup is the P320 x compact.

I'm guessing Sig is trying to do as Glock and others have done with this XL line. I'm guessing their 365 is like a G26/27 and the XL is similar to the G19/23.

Smart marketing to give the user options.

Too bad Glock didn't redesign the 43 to hold 10 rounds to compete. But then again owning a 26, I have a sleeve on the grip to make it bigger for my large hands so making it smaller wouldn't really benifit me personally.

I’m glad i can use the XL’s longer slide and barrel on standard P365. If you want more than 10 rounds or need the longer grip because you have big hands, use the standard model’s extended magazine.
