Friends

I’m the guilty party who sold Caleb the STI Escort, he had a finish issue as I did with the one I kept.

I found a Mom and Pop place in Melbourne, Kote of Arms. For 90 bucks less a Leo/military 15% they did a really nice job on the complete pistol.

I will post a pic later, but they had less than a week turn around time. They even make 1911’s out of 80% lowers that look really impressive.

FYI!

Meh, it's just Caleb. No worries, my friend

Yep, STI makes a good 1911 (or used to, now only 2011s) but, their blueing sucks worse than Pig at a gay midget convention. I’ve been thinking of sending mine to Fords over on the west coast but, maybe ceracoat is the way to go. Can you post up some pics when you get it back?

Go ruin a Montanian woman’s life while you are up there. Oh, leave the goats alone too.

That looks good. Did they do the controls too or just the slander and frame? The controls on mine have the most worn blueing. I’d have to get those coated as well.

If you zoom in on the pic of the Guardian, you can see the bluing wear on the frame and controls. It looks like this pistol frame has seen two Worlds Wars, lol. The “been there done that” look is cool in my opinion but, any sweat or moisture that gets on it...... will start rusting in those exposed areas.

I suggest you send Bob a PM and he'll likely reply to you quickly.
