    Description from PSA's website:

"This Complete Palmetto State Armory lower is fully assembled and ready for your complete Upper!

    Machined from Aluminum Forgings 7075-T6
Hardcoat Anodizing: MIL-A-8625F, Type III, Class 2
    Milspec diameter Receiver Extension
    M4 Stock
    Staked M4 Lock Nut
    Standard Carbine Buffer
Un-notched Hammer compatible with 9mm use
    Caliber: Multi"

What is the meaning of the above bolded? I've often thought of building a 9mm AR, but know little about the components or process.

    Thanks y'all

I don't know about the "Un-notched Hammer compatible with 9mm use" but I have one of their lowers with that hammer and it works fine with a 5.56mm 24" Rifle upper, also from PSA.

Hodawg, I don't why they even mentioned that un-notched hammer because that complete lower would not be compatible with 9mm use without replacing buffer and maybe buffer spring, buying a adapter for use with pistol calibers and then if you wanted a 9mm pistol type AR then you would have to replace buffer tube and possibly stock. Most folks just buy 9mm manufactured lowers now so that you don't have to buy adapters and all that crap.

Thanks, 45Freak. The 9mm AR is just something on my long term bucket list, but at $129 it looked interesting. But it will have to wait until after the .357 pump.
