Awesome.......will use this example next time......hopefully there won't be a next time.
I and My Wife and Son will NEVER forget what you all did for us. I still have trouble wrapping my mind around such compassion.
A coworker celebrating her birthday wanted me to pick her up before work so she could drink and not worry about driving drunk. When we got to work, I took the hat off my gun, pulled the magazine, and cleared the chamber before tucking the gun in the glove box(we cannot have weapons at work and instead of leaving a loaded pistol in the car, I empty it and take the magazine with me to keep in my pocket, in case the car is broken into or stolen, at least they would have to buy a magazine for it). Her eyes were wide open and asked why I carried. My response was purely logical and put her at ease. I said "First, we work early in the morning(4 am) and that it is a better chance to be attacked. Plus, I would never want anything to happen to my favorite coworker as I pick her up." I showed her the CCW and invited her to go to the range to try it out and that she may just like it just for shooting the paper targets. She was fine with the answer but had this to say about going to the range "Are you serious? Don't you watch horror movies? It is always the black person or the woman who dies first, and I have two strikes right there. So a white man and a black woman go into range, but only the white man comes out." LOL
I think she is coming around.![]()
As the end is drawing near, standing proud I won't give into fear.
As I die a legend will be born. I will stand, I will fight, you'll never take me alive.
