Redfield Makes great scope's for the money and so does Nikon. Have a Nikon Pro-staff 3,9x50 BDC on my Mossberg MVP .223. Paid $229 for it.

Been researching both of these brands and I like what I'm reading.

If you like to save a bit, I've used 2 different scopes for my MN 91/30.

First one was the Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 with the 6-inch eye relief, $80. This is an excellent scope for the price, very clear glass and view is clear all the way up to max magnification (just know where to place your head). With your bent bolt, this should be a decent alternative up to around 300yards.

The second is the UTG pistol scope 2-7x, about $42shipped from Amazon. Eye relief is excellent, almost like a red dot. I keep mine set at 2x for the most part. This is also a compact scope, compared to the Bushnell and other larger scopes.

Just thought I'd throw it out there. I know there are more expensive and better scopes, but for the budget-conscious Mosin owner, these work great.

i like my Super Sniper scope, for the money i dont think you beat it, as long as your rilfe is large enough like a Remmy 700. On an AR with a 16" barrel it would look ridiculous.......10x42 http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-10x42-Tactic...cope-P499.aspx

I own a Redfield Revolution 2-7x33.... very nice scope. $189 I also purchased a Bushnell Elite 3200 fixed 10x40 with mil/mil turrets and reticle. $199. These scopes are alot of glass for the money and stay within your budget... the Redfield 3-9x40 is also around $200. I own several fixed scopes and like them more and more. You can spend thousands of dollars on glass... but if you are going to shoot a couple of hundred yards.... these will serve you fine. Both have lifetime warranties.

The Redfield Revolution is owned by Leupold and is manufactured in Oregon. The Bushnell Elite has Japanese glass not Chinese. I own a 4 power cheap Chinese Bushnell Banner as well... for $60 or so.... even that works great on my .22. Very clear optics on them.
