you need to spend time on a harley forum to understand...many feel their bike will be irreparably damaged if it is left in the rain...one even opened a thread discussing possible legal action against a dealer because the bike was uncrated and exposed to rain before he took delivery...its a real tough bunch

youre preaching to the choir here, fella...i owned a heavily chromed and modified harley that spent a lot of time in the rain and was only washed twice a year (january and june)...just like my guns...

    That much, huh?

I think my last one got washed once in the 8 years I owned it......when I put it up for sale. . Even then, I wouldn't exactly say what I did was "washing". More like a spray bottle of 409 and a rag used randomly to nab the really grimy parts.

I've seen, and even participated, in some of those "My Harley will melt if it gets wet" forum discussions. But, I must admit, considering legal action because a bike sat outside prior to sale at a dealership is a new one. If a bike can melt in the rain, I'd have found myself skittering on by backside years ago when the bike I was on melted out from under me. I once rode from Arkansas to Colorado. Rained from about 15 miles out of my driveway to my cousin's ranch southwest of Denver. Colorado gets something like 5 rainy days a year....of course, I chose to travel during those 5 day it seems.

I see a pattern here..... and we know you care more for the bike...
I'm typing mostly from a cell phone, errors are common, but keep in mind 90% of my grammar errors and 100% of my stupid ideas are my sole responsibility. I ALWAYS use sarcasm...

maybe what youre finding here is that there is some people who arent emotionally tied to everything that has to do with guns and they realize life goes on without them or the meaningless silent protests that really dont change a thing in the alignment of the planets....

No doubt, if someone comes with an oil question it does get shut right away since there are already hundreds of threads on the subject. But I think this is different this is a "Conceled Carry" and that is something that directly ties into "Conceled Carry" it would be like getting mad at someone asking an oil question on an oil forum.
