Trading Post / Classifieds
You may post as many items as you would like in the trading post. You may also put as many items in your post as you would like. I would recommend separate listings for each item, but it is entirely up to you. You are allowed to relist your items every 72 Hours.
If you think you have sold your item and it falls through, you must reinstate your old ad until the original 72 hours have passed. I understand the frustration but please understand we have no way to tell if a deal fell through or if you just wanted to relist your item early.
AR Lowers can be listed in either Handguns or Rifles, but not both. Complete AR uppers can be listed in handguns or rifles, whichever it is. Incomplete uppers and all parts for lowers go in the Ammo, Accessories, Parts, Etc. section.
All items listed must be purchasable without going to another site. For example: Don't list a gun with a link to Gunbroker.
All items for sale must actually be available and not "on order" from somewhere. (excluding dealers/stores)
Reverse Auctions are allowed, but the reduction in price must be in increments of at least $5 for items under $500 and $10 for items over $500.
Personal reloads are not allowed to be sold or traded on the site. (Commercial reloads are fine.)
No misleading ad titles, such as "Free Gun" and then the ad says "must buy the holster for $500." Also included are titles like "Glock 18" when the actual item is a Glock 17.
Please refrain from excessively bumping your ad when there is no new information to add and nothing has changed.
Do not make negative comments in other people’s threads. Repeat offenders will be temporarily banned and then permanently banned. It gets really old reminding the same users over and over to keep their comments to themselves. Everyone is allowed to ask whatever price they want for their items and it is their problem if no one wants it for that price. Also, do not hijack people's listings. If the post starter is actively participating in the conversation in their own listing that is fine. If you have activity that is unwanted in your listing please contact a moderator to clean it up for you. (Posting a factual problem with the ad is fine and not considered a negative comment, an example is someone listing a Glock for sale but they have a picture of a Sig)
No Raffles in the classifieds, they can be listed in "Steals & Deals" if they are for a charity/non-profit.
If you list an item for a friend you take full responsibility for the deal as far as feedback is concerned, if it goes south then you get hit with the negative. We suggest not selling for friends and just help them create an account of their own.
Listings for alcohol and pornography are not allowed. This is a classy place!
All items listed need to have some sort of value reference point. This can be a ballpark value, possible trade interest, etc. Just something to serve as a starting point for everyone interested in your item.
If your item is listed as "For Sale Only" you must have a price listed.
If there is suspicion that your item may be stolen it will be taken down and you will be asked to provide proof that you legally acquired the item. If you can not provide proof then you will not be allowed to list that item again. This is mainly for items that are suspected to have been stolen from a military base.
If you have a handgun and want to trade for a rifle, the listing should be in the handgun section. If someone is shopping for a rifle they do not want to see a bunch of handguns in there, it defeats the purpose of having separate areas for types of guns.
It is the buyer’s and seller’s responsibility to be familiar with all local, state, and federal laws when considering buying or selling a firearm. It is the parties involved in the transaction’s responsibility to make sure all laws are followed and all items are as represented before they take part in a transaction with someone else. Florida Concealed Carry can accept no responsibility for mis-represented items or items not being delivered after payment. You use this site at your own risk so please be careful.
When your item has been sold or traded please edit the title or the first post in your listing to say sold or traded.
And now, most important rule of all, If anything is listed as a "zombie slayer," or anything similar, and fails to perform as such during a zombie or alien invasion, you will be banned.
iTrader
The iTrader feedback system is a very important component of your reputation. It represents in a score, and in comments, what others think about how you conduct yourself during transactions. Feedback can be given for any deal that at some point is considered by both parties to be a “committed deal” and can be positive, neutral, or negative.
- Positive means you were pleased with the overall transaction.
- Negative means that someone backed out of a “committed deal” or an item was misrepresented in some way. (Must be provable)
- Neutral is used for ratings that are currently under investigation or for rare circumstances where neither a Positive or a Negative seems to fit.
Definition of a “Committed Deal.”
A Committed Deal is when the following terms have been finalized and agreed upon by all parties involved in the transaction.
- Price of item (if it’s a purchase and not a trade)
- Items included in transaction (What accessories, ammo, etc are included)
- Time and Place where transaction will be completed.
It is highly recommended that when you have gotten all terms worked out you send a confirmation PM that lists all the details of the deal and then save the response you get. This way if you need to leave a negative later the details of the deal will be indisputable by the other party. This also covers you for deals where the details were worked out on the phone or over email/text messages, as they are not “admissible” in itrader court
For the sake of itrader ratings, an “I’ll take it” means nothing without a committed deal. (But the community frowns upon backing out of an “I’ll take it” situation so please do not use that phrase lightly.)
If you have a question or a problem with a negative rating you can send a private message to myself or a moderator. If someone commits to buy or sell an item make sure you hold on to any private messages until the deal is done and everyone considers it final. If the agreed terms are not in PM's then there is nothing we can use to verify anyone's story.
In the event either party disputes a negative then an iTrader administrator mod can delete or change the negative based on the facts in the PM's. If that doesn't finalize the situation then the facts may be posted in iTrader Court. In that situation relevant PMs are posted (names and other identifying information is hidden/deleted) and each party can post a short summary of their thoughts. Site members can then express their opinion in the iTrader thread and vote in a poll for positive, neutral, or negative.
Remember that rules can't cover every situation and disputes can happen. Here are some good practices that should help you get positive feedback and avoid problems.
- Do not commit to buy/sell/trade an item if you are not serious about it and fully prepared to live up to your word.
- Fully disclose everything you can think of in your ad or your offer, including, an accurate description of the cosmetic and operating condition, accessories included, and actual representative pictures (not factory shots).
- Stipulate if your sale/purchase/trade offer is subject to in-person physical inspection, will require a bill of sale, drivers license or a carry permit. If you are making a trade offer it's helpful to send a link to your ad or representative pictures of your unlisted trade offer in a PM. Communicate with the other party clearly and fully, then confirm final agreements via PM.
- If either party decides they want to change the 'committed deal' then they can't leave the other party negative feedback...but...they may be subject to a negative.
Example of a deal confirmation (especially after non PM communications):
